Your master wallet is your primary wallet used for deploying tokens, managing wallet groups, and storing funds. CoinWave allows you to manage multiple master wallets, making it easy to switch between different accounts or organize your operations.

Understanding Master Wallets

Master wallets are different from wallet group wallets:
  • Master Wallets: Your main wallets used as the developer wallet for token launches and as the source for distributing SOL to wallet groups
  • Wallet Group Wallets: Collections of wallets used for bundling and generating trading volume
Think of your master wallet as your main account, while wallet groups are your worker wallets.

Managing Master Wallets

Access your master wallets through the dropdown in the footer of the dashboard. Master Wallet Dropdown The dropdown shows:
  • Currently active wallet with address and SOL balance
  • All your master wallets (maximum 2 out of 5 shown)
  • Add / Import Wallet button to create or add new wallets
  • Export All Wallets option to backup your wallet data

Switching Between Wallets

Click on any wallet in the dropdown to make it your active master wallet. The active wallet will be used for:
  • Token deployments as the developer wallet
  • Distributing SOL to wallet groups
  • All transactions you initiate

Adding Master Wallets

You can add up to 5 master wallets to your account. Click “Add / Import Wallet” to get started.

Generate New Wallet

Create a fresh wallet with a randomly generated keypair. Generate New Wallet
  1. Click Generate New tab
  2. Review the information: “A new wallet will be generated”
  3. See the preview showing New Wallet with “Secure randomly generated keypair”
  4. Click Generate
Make sure to backup your private key after creationYou’ll need to export your wallet and save the private key. If you lose access and don’t have the key, your funds will be permanently lost.

Import Existing Wallet

Bring in an existing wallet using its private key. Import Existing Wallet
  1. Click Import Existing tab
  2. Enter your Private Key (Base58) in the text field
  3. Supported formats:
    • privateKey
    • publicKey:privateKey
  4. Click Import
Your wallet will be added to your account and become available in the master wallet dropdown.
All private keys are encrypted with AES-256 GCM encryption before being stored. Your keys are never transmitted or stored in plain text.

Exporting Master Wallets

To backup all your master wallets, use the Export All Wallets option in the dropdown. This will download a file containing:
  • All your master wallet addresses
  • Encrypted private keys
  • Current balances
Store your exported wallet file in a secure location. Anyone with access to this file and your encryption password can access your funds.

Security Best Practices

  • Backup immediately: Export and securely store your wallet data after creating new wallets
  • Never share private keys: Your private keys give complete control over your funds
  • Use separate wallets: Consider using different master wallets for different operations or risk levels
  • Monitor balances: Regularly check your wallet balances for unauthorized transactions
  • Secure your recovery phrase: Your 12-word recovery phrase from signup can restore access to your original wallet
